White Tea
White tea is the most delicate tasting tea. It was originally named after the fine silver white hair on the bud. White tea was originally made in China. It is made from tender tea buds with minimal processing. Consequently, it is said to have higher antioxidant levels than other teas.
Chinese white teas generally need a longer brewing time (in excess of 5 minutes). Good quality white teas, such as Silver Needle, can be infused up to 5 or 6 times.
